We saw FLOW when it was on at the NZIFF this year. Wholehearted recommendation. It is fantastic! Now it is coming back on general release we will absolutely go see again. Do yourself a favour and go see it!
@Kate Rodger, do you think Flow would be suitable for a 4 year old (who watches a lot of movies, i.e can sit still(ish) for the duration), or too scary?!
The length is perfect for that age, I just asked Max what he thought about scariness - he said what I think too - it may depend on the sensitivity of the younger kids? There is peril - underwater and also a few scary chases - I guess that’s why it’s PG.
The Wild Robot was a stand out for me. Such a beautiful movie.
Wicked Little Letters - Olivia Coleman, Timothy Spall & Jessie Buckley were brilliant in this.
Alien: Romulus - we re-watched all the movies in this franchise at home before seeing this on the big screen. This was one of the better movies in the franchise.
We just started "The Day Of The Jackal" last night - this looks like it's going to be gripping. There has been so much good stuff on TVNZ+ & ThreeNow that we have taken a break from paid streaming platofms to watch content on both.
As for Wicked - I saw the stage show in Auckland back in 2013 and I loved it. I'm not sure if I can bring myself to watch a big screen version of this though.
Caught the Wicked movie too...a tad long for my liking. The chick who plays "The Wicked Witch" 🧙♂️ was amazing & Her Pinkness (Ariana Grande) with her cute dimples was great too...but...just too long for me.
I caught the advanced screening of Robbie Williams movie last weekend & I loved it!! Beautiful movie about his early life & rise to fame. Some tears were shed as he navigated his way through depression & battle with alcohol & drugs but then there was his amazing songs to sing along to. Go see it if you're a Robbie fan...or...even if you're not!!
Concur on Day of the Jackal, very good. We are also really enjoying Black Doves.
I can hear my wife in the other room right now watching the first episode of Fake on ThreeNow, lots of “ooou yucks” and “he’s creepy af”. This is a sign she is engaged!

Def worthy of repeat viewings!

Not sure that’s helpful enough ha ha!
Thanks! (incredibly delayed response - have been ignoring my computer!)

I'll probably catch part 2.
